iFairy Batch 3: Special Post - Hanabi introduction.

Hello loovelies <3,

I am sorry. T.T I have been busy with facetrades and orders so I haven't had time to update the blog with a new review. And yes, I have to admit I've been enjoying my exam break's free time a little too. <.<"
Anyways, if you are friends with Shimmer Eyes on facebook, you would've known that the ifairy batch 3 is now open, hip hip hooray! I can't wait to get my hands on a few pairs of these lenses too. (:
They're $24.00/pair this batch and as something new I will do weekend features where certain lenses will be on sale. : D But since there's only so many weekends before I end the batch on Feb 17th that you'll have to pay close attention to my updates!

Anyways, today's special post is that I had one of my customers that ordered the new Hanabi Red from ifairy send me a few photos on how they look.
THANK YOU CHRISTINA (Xissy) V.

These are the ifairy Hanabi red in sunlight - honest coloring in life. As you can see, the coloring is bright, even on dark brown eyes.

I believe the Hanabi series offer the biggest enlargement for the ifairy brand and not on that it will give you a halo look to your eyes, if you desire the cresent look to your eyes.
But all of ifairy lenses are great in coloring and detailing. They will never disappoint you in terms on not showing up, hence the reason why these lenses are a bit more expensive then EOS or the Dueba lenses that I sell as well.
The ifairy Hanabi red in bathroom lighting and no flash. Bright coloring! No surprise there. (:

Thanks to Christina (Xissy)'s clear photos you can see the close detail on the hanabi series. Hanabi is japanese for fireworks, and in a way the circle lenses has a spinning firework feel to them. The coloring of the hanabis blend well with dark irises and enlarges without fail.
I have dark brown eyes, and as I have said in my previous post with my review on the hanabi blues, even though they don't cover my complete iris (thank goodness), it blends pretty well even though it's a ring of color. (Check out my previous post for more details.)

But I want to show you a photo of how well the enlargement is on the Hanabi lenses. I meant to add this in when I did the review for the Hanabi blues, but I forgot. T.T" So Anyways, I'll add it on here. I took this photo in bathroom lighting and no flash facing a direction so the color doesn't show.

With 16.2mm, the enlargement doesn't disappoint either.

And there concludes the special feature post on Hanabi series, <3 And for those that actually take the time to read this post, enter "HanabiHanabi01" for an extra 5% off for any ifairy Hanabi lenses (hanabis only, any others will not apply) this weekend, and a free regular case! This promotion will start Friday 7pm and ends Sunday at 2pm.

Email shimmershimmereyes@gmail.com for more information or add Shimmer Eyes on Facebook to check out the promotions. : D

Review #3: ifairy Hanabi blue.

Hello lovelies, <3

I really should be studying for biology right now <.<" Well. I'll dedicate tomorrow to fully studying. : D I like bio anyways. hehe.
Anyways, today i'll be reviewing the ifairy hanabi blues. ^^

Diameter: 16.2mm
Base Curve Radius: 8.6
Water Content: 55%
Lens Lifespan: 1 year
Color: Blue

The diameter on these lenses i admit are huuuge. <3 But 16.2mm is a little pushing it I think. As you can see, with these lenses on and without does make a huge difference.
Normal eyes, without circle lenses. >.< I should really stop taking picture at this angle, it makes my other eye look reallllly small. LOL

In the sun, one lens in one lens out.
Now with both lenses in : D Aren't they so vibrant-ly blue?

I simply adore the ifairy series. <3 Their lenses do the best in terms of colours and having the ability to stand out. : D Not to mention give everyone that special stare. ( ; Tehehe.

In indoor lighting.

Review:

Color 5/5 - ifairy lenses for me will usually get a 5/5. Their colours never fail to please, and the product that you see in the vials they come in, is usually the colours that go on your eyes. So if you're in the market for a bright blue color then these would be great for you. Although, these lenses do give a layering effect; where the lens that is on top of the dark brown iris of my eye is a tad darker, and the remaining gives my eyes the slight "halo" effect. I think it's cool. LOL I've never found a pair of lenses that did that for me before.

Design 4/5 - I guess the design for these lenses aren't bad. I'm not sure, but for me personally these lenses are great for people looking for a blended ring effect. The hanabi was made especially so that it's a ring of colour that go well with the dark eyes of orientals.

Enlargement 5/5 - These lenses are pretty darn big. Even if I don't think they're actually 16.2mm in diameters, they sure give the effect of it! And for lenses that don't have a thick limbal ring, that's pretty rare. I had a photo that showed these without the blue coloring... But I deleted it by accident. TT.TT The point of that photo was to show how big the lenses make your eyes look. LOL

Comfort 5/5 - -squeaaaal- LOL These lenses are the closest to comfortable lenses I've owned besides the EOS jelly green. Omfggg <3 Hahah. Even though the diameter is big, you would think it'd cause some discomfort. But for me, these fit so great. I don't even think it felt dry after the 3 hours I wore it for today. : D

Conclusion:
So in conclusion, I like these lenses but the design for me is a tad boring for me. But I think these lenses are pretty darn great. They give you the dolly look and make your eyes bigger. I even think the prescription on these lenses are better than my other ones. <.< Weird, eh? But the thing is, I don't think I'd be able to wear the hanabi blues without wearing makeup. The diameter is just too big for that and the blue would be too intense.
And hard to believe, but I usually just go without make-up to school. LOL

Hope you liked my review~

Instock brown circle lens: featuring Tammy P.

Hello lovelies <3,

Today's post will feature my instock brown lenses.~ With so much variety to choose from, which one to you choose? Here I will give you some recommendations and examples of each of the lenses I have instock. *(Please note that not all of the following photos belong to me. ^^)

Please visit Shimmer Eyes on facebook or send an email to shimmershimmereyes@gmail.com for inquiries.

First up - Natural looking lenses. Availability: plano (no prescription) 4 pairs.
I get alot of customers that come and ask which lenses give the most natural effect?
And where better to start than a pair of lenses that MATCH the color of your eyes, huh? : D
The following lenses is called the walkure brown lenses of Dueba/GnG. It's similar to the GEO mysterious (B101) brown (14.0mm). However the walkure browns are 14.5mm so they're great for giving you a natural yet enlarging look.

This is what the design of the walkure browns look like.

The closeup. <3
The lenses are brown for sure, however I believe that these would work best for anyone that has a dark brown iris. Nonetheless, they are far more natural than black lenses and don't give your eyes the "dead" kind of look.
I had one of my contest winners (that received these free) send me a photo of what the walkure browns looked like. Her name is Tammy, and I believe she represented the lenses with the cuteness it deserves. : D
Walkure Brown Model
Name: Tammy P.
Prescription: plano
Eye Size: small
Status: beginner circle lens wearer.

As you can see, it does give you the dolly look so many sought after, ( : But it is natural on dark eyes and doesn't give you the lifeless look black lenses tend to give.

Next up - Dueba/GnG X-9 Queenie brown. Availability: Plano (no prescription) 5 pairs.
These lenses surprised me too, but they give the prettiest natural brown eyes I've ever seen. Nevermind that these are 4-tone, the brown matches the brown irises and blends incredibly well. So if you're looking for lenses that provide your eyes with a natural kind of flair, then these are great. : D
Even the close-up of these are gorgeous.
The X-9 queenie series resemble the NEO glamour series, as well as the ifairy Jewel series. Guess this is a very popular design. ^^ However, the dueba and NEO series only carry the lenses in 14.5mm whereas ifairy carries it in a 16.0mm (14.8/14.9mm) size.
Though it does have a light grey ring around the lens, other than the 14.5mm I don't believe the enlargement for these lenses will be great.

The queenie browns would be great for lighter brown eyes or dark brown eyes that want to go for a slighty lighter natural look.

GEO Tri-world brown 14.0mm. Availability: 1 pair.
The geo three tone lenses have a great ability to blend in with brown eyes. Although it does give your eyes a slightly lighter look, they do offer a natural feel to them.
As you can tell, the lenses do not look like they are too out of place. It blends in fairly well with her brown eyes.

Dramatic lenses/Lenses great for enlargement.
Next up is the section for brown lenses that have truly amazing designs and the even more amazing ability to enlarge your eyes. ( :

iFairy Snow brown - availability 1 pair plano.
The ifairy designs are usually vibrant and the colors always, always show up without fail. The snow series is one of the newer series from the ifairy world of 16.0mm circle lenses.

As you can see, the limbal ring around the lenses are fairly thing with spikes shooting in the coloring ring. The thickness of the limbal ring aren't very natural, but if you want a pair of lenses that impress, these would be great.
The lenses itself does represent the shape of a snowflake, non? : D

Next up - Dueba Burn brown Availability: 4 pairs in plano.
Burn, baby burn. LOL I love the design of these lenses. They give of the smouldering "Yuh I know I look good" vibe on anyone wearing it. As you can see, the limbal ring on these are quite thick as well. However though it does look intense the brown of the lenses (that resemble the flames) looks great blending in with natural brown eyes.
Wow, is it hot in here or is it just me? ;D

These lenses are 14.5mm from the Dueba/GnG company and even though the size is only 14.5mm it has an effect of 15.0mm, really great for those that want a smouldering, big-eyed look.
Look at how big her eyes look. O_O LOL jokes. <3

Brown Circle Lens that give a light/crystal look.
Next up we have lenses that give your eyes the fresh, light crystalline look. Personally, I love lighter brown lenses. They're not THAT dramatic and not too unnoticeable at the same time. : D

First! The ifairy super crystal brown - availabity: 1 pair plano.
If you lovelies have looked at my previous post, you'll realize I had just finished a review on these. ^^ So if you want a more thorough review please go there! ^^
So the introduction to the super crystals will be short and sweet.
The lenses with one in sunlight and the other shaded.

Next! - Duebas crystal.i hazel: availability:  plano x4.
The names that have crystal in it pretty much give everything away, haha. But these dueba lenses are a darker pair of lenses great for darker brown eyes if they want a more natural crystal look. Rather than the light brown/gold lenses of the ifairy crystals.

The tag on this is brown, but the actual lenses are named hazels. Which explains the darker chocolate look on these lenses. (Close-up)
These lenses are 14.5mm in diameter as well and I would love to try a pair on, except I didn't order any in my prescription. The give your eyes the innocent shimmering (: look.
Hazel tends to give off a reddish tone. HAZELNUT. :DDD

And there is concludes our feature of instock brown lenses. <3 And let's not forget;
THANK YOU TAMMY. P.
For her lovely photos that represent shimmer eyes and the dueba walkure browns oh-so-very well <3
P.S If you know me on facebook, you'll probably have realized I didn't feature the dueba BT02 lenses on here~ Well, I realized that the pictures online aren't very accurate so I figured I'll wait until I can get a review for those. ^^

Review #2: ifairy Super Crystal Brown

My loves <3,

Sorry about neglecting my shop and this newly created blog. HOWEVER, I have a very, very good excuse. : D
Well, I would. But it won't let me upload my photo. T.T So here;
In case you didn't know; CHEMISTRY is what i was doing over this weekend. : D hehe.

Anyways, on with the show! <3
Jokes, I'm not here for your amusement. o : <
....
Wait, no. I am.

**PICTURE HEAVY**

So today I will be reviewing iFairy Super Crystal Brown! As you saw in the previous blog post from one of my lovely models wearing the ifairy super crystal green, these lens give your eyes an intense crystallized effect.
Here is what I am talking about:
Here it is in the case, YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING YET. HEHE. <3

Here is a picture of the lens with one in the sun and one in the shade. : D And excuse my.. Makeup LOL I was tired from my chem final so I just decided to plop on a few fake lashes. :3c

****Time for a Close-up****
Here it is again, one eye in the sunlight risking blindness and the other in the shade. I like these lenses alooot, they show up really, really well. (*Side note, I realize my under lashes look really false, but i haven't put any makeup on them whatsoever. But I don't really like them, I bought 10 in a box and only used 1 pair. <.<" I'll probably sell it for like $6.00, anyone interested? ^^")

Flashy, flashy. ; D A photo of the lenses with flash on. Yes I have a heart over my heart. I made a stupid smile, please forgive me. LOL If you've noticed that the photo of flash and the lens in sunlight look similar, then bravo! There's a reason why I love these so much. You will find out soon in the review below. : D

Here's a comparison of how I look with and without the lenses.
This is without; I was told to find a photo where my eyes look small. And today, my left eye's double eyelid decided to hide from me. LOL (It's an asian thing) So voila! Without circle lenses. :3c

And here is one with bathroom lighting and with circle lenses on.
Ta daaah! The lenses sure look big!

Anyways, here are the numbers. I bet you love numbers. <3
**Natural lighting - yes. I took a few too many photos.**

 Review:

Color - 5/5 The super crystals are absolutely my favourite brown contacts, no my favourite contacts EVER. I'm serious. I'm in love with the light look it gives my eyes, and that is so haarrd. My eyes are like a dark chocolate brown. (Not that I'm ashamed, but it does get a little bland some times.) These lens give your eyes the warm caramel-gold look.

Design - 5/5 These ifairy lens have been on the market with ifairy for the longest and isn't one of the new refined lens. However I think they've outdone themselves right from the beginning. The design is simple yet complicated at the same time, it make yours whole iris look light now just the "halo" look (When the lenses are bigger than your iris, thus creating a halo look where the outer edge is lighter than the part where the lens is ontop.) And for those who don't like the thick limbal ring that tend to make lenses look less natural, these lenses are your thing!

Enlargement - 4.5/5 I didn't give these lenses the full points because, 1. The enlargment is due to the large diameter of the lens (advertised as 16.0mm, probably a 14.9mm though). And 2. I don't think these lenses were really meant for enlargment purposes anyways.

Comfort - 3.5/5 Unfortunately I am sad to say that these weren't very comfortable.. For one eye. T.T I don't know what's wrong with me... LOL I can never find a super duper comfortable pair of lenses! And i know it's not because of the large diameter though, because I own 2 other pairs of ifairy circle lenses which I will review in the future. ^^
But one of the lenses goes on my eye super smoothly and I can never feel it, which is great! But the other one feels like it's like prickling my eye. ): I hope it's just that one faulty lens, I'll probably order another pair to see what's going on, if it's my fault (;~;) or that one lens' fault. hehe.

Hope you like my review~ <3 I like you!
Goodbye~ <3

My beautiful customer reviews.

Harro harro from behind the eyes of Shimmer ( ;

Sorry for neglecting my customers on facebook. TT.TT (Shimmer Eyes) Finals have taken over my social life... And well life in general LOL. But I'm trying my best. Please forgive me, shimmer loves you. <3

"And I was crying on the staircase, begging you please don't go."

LOLOL See, Taylor Swift couldn't have said it any better.
Anyways, my title pretty much says everything, three of my BEAUTIFULAWESOMEAMAZING beautawesmazing customers took some purty photos for Shimmer Eyes and I've decided to feature them on my blog! : D (Yes permission was granted.)

DO NOT use these photos. I have been given permission to post these, YOU have not been.

The first picture review is going to be EOS max pure grey by lovely Yvonne S. Kay, so she's not underaged, :3c she's actually older than me. Haha but anyways, she owns a shop too on facebook, (Belle Bijou) so check her out. ^^

 Model Information:
Yvonne. S
Eye color: dark brown
Prescription: -1.00 (both eyes)
Eye size: medium
Status: Circle lens wearer for 1-2 years.

Anyways, the point of this entry wasn't for my personal views of the lens, and besides I haven't had the chance to review these yet. T.T I just wanted to thank my lovely customers for taking the time to snap photos for me. : D

This cutie is Kristine C. :3c Her lens are the Dueba/GnG dreamy.i greys. Notice how the EOS max pure greys and the dreamy.i have the same effect on your eyes? That's because both have the thick limbal rings(thick black ring on the rims, great for enlargement) and a smoky grey solid coloring. Thus, dreamy.i's they give you the dreamy kind of look. : D Hehe for lack of a better word.
Model Information:
Kristine C.
Eye color: dark brown
Prescription: plano (non-prescripted)
Eye size: small
Status: Circle lens wearer for 1/2 to 1 year.

The next model will represent a pair in the ifairy series, super crystal green. The ifairy series are advertised as having a 16.0mm diameter, however I think that's a slight exaggeration. Prehaps a 14.8mm to 14.9mm is more accurate. Anyways, ifairys are the brightest lens I believe in the whole circle lens industry. This next model is Seth. H - he will prove that not only can guys wear circle lens, but also that circle lens aren't only for oriental people. : D <3

Here is a close up on the ifairy super crystal greens. (Click the photo for an even more intimate look with Seth's Eye the lens. LOL)

This is how it looks on blue eyes, notice that the green is still a vibrant green and will stay that way for any eye color no matter it be brown, blue, green or black. (Do purple eyes exist?)
Anyways, Seth has the prettiest blue eyes ( : And voila, here they are with both lenses on.

Model Information:
Seth. H
Eye color: blue with specks gold
Prescription: -1.25 and -1.75
Eye size: big
Status: beginner circle lens wearer, long time contact lens wearer.

Voila~, ils sont beaux, non? I think so. : D They all are beauties, tehehhe. But don't stalk them, please. T.T LOLOL <3 Anyways, I have to give a big
THANK YOU
you guys are great <3 Shimmer Eyes appreciates the effort you put in. ;~;
Photo-whoring is HARD. hahaha

Anyways, tune in next time for another personal circle lens review on the iFairy Super Crystal Browns. : D

Review #1: Dueba/GnG Diamond Grey.

Hello My Lovelies <3

Today's review is on the Dueba diamond grey. :3c I'll write a short introduction and then I'll provide a number system format for reviews. Then in the end I will summarize what I meant and add any addition notes. ^^ Also, note that no photo shopping has been applied. Besides adding the water mark for Shimmer Eyes, the colors are what you see.

 Lenses information:
G&G/Dueba Crystal Diamond Series (Oak-Type)
Color: Grey
Diameter: 14.5mm
BC: 8.6
Water: 38%

Personal Information:
Eye Color: Dark brown
Eye size: Medium-big
Prescription: -1.50 and -1.75.
Status: Long time circle lenses wearer. (2 years)

This photo shows which lenses I am talking about. ^^

This is a close-up, excuse my eyebrows. LOL : D

This is a photo of one of the lenses in, and the other one out. Note the difference? LOL

Rating:

Color: 4/5 The color is grey LOL there isn't much to describe in terms of the colour. However, it is a lighter shade of grey and will definitely appear on darker irises as grey. (I'm a dark brown.)

Design: 5/5 I've had many compliments on these lenses. And they do in fact have the crystallized effect on your eyes. When applied, they make your eyes look as if it's been shot with bolts of black and grey. ( ; Pretty cool I'd say. Both the black and grey areas stand out prominently.

Enlargement:  4.5/5 The enlargment on these lenses are decent. They do not have the thick limbal ring around the outer edges of the lens but for a 14.5mm diameter lenses I didn't expect the enlargement to be any less then it was supposed to be. It still made a big difference on my eyes and made it look bigger, however because of the diameter, I'm not sure whether or not it's because of only the size. <.<" hehe.

Comfort: 3.5/5: Unfortunately for me, I've never had a pair of lenses that were exceptionally comfortable. The closest that I've come to having really comfortable lenses were my EOS jewel/jelly greens. These lens felt okay when first applied. However as the day went on, it seemed to come off my eyes a little... Hm hard to explain, it's as if it were dry near the center but the edges still stayed intact. LOL

Conclusion:

I guess I received alot of compliments on these lenses for a reason, they look.. Cool. LOL Well the effect is anyways. My eyes aren't small so I can't say that the enlargement was because of the lenses but rather the diameter and how big my eyes are. The comfort level for these are decent, I mean I can't blame them for problems with my eyes. TT.TT I just wished I found a pair of lenses that were really comfortable. LOL
I guess I'll keep on looking!

Any suggestions? <3

Oh one more picture for the road. ( ;

P.S. Like I said, I'm a shop owner. ( : I have many types of GnG/Dueba lenses instock for $20.00 a pair. Message me for more information.
